Traditionally, grains were gathered to make the bread, fields of corn were cut, blueberries and blackberries were picked for Pies.

The Celebration is one of the Four Celtic Fire Festivals. Lughnasa occurs during the week of the Full Moon in August. It is a Celebration and appreciation for the beautiful foods from the earth.
