New Found Farmers is O’Brien Farm’s agriculture incubation program, designed to assist new entrant farmers in obtaining skills, experience, and knowledge as they move towards independent farm operations. Started in 2021, New Found Farmers is a 5 year cooperative program for those with prior farm knowledge and/or experience who are interested in moving from a backyard/homestead setting to a small business setting. Applicants should demonstrate a willingness to work and learn with fellow incubator farmers, access to funds to designate incubator space, and readiness to participate in the programming benefits. As of 2023, we are proud to say that we currently have 8 micro farms, led by our passionate and hardworking New Found Farmers.
