The O'Brien Farm Foundation is thrilled to rent its beautiful spaces for events of all shapes and sizes. Whether you want to get married in front of the historic Thimble Cottage, host a barbecue at our brand new Kitchen Barn, or get out of the office with a meeting in our Interpretation Centre, we have the space for you.

The O'Brien Farm Foundation is a registered non-profit with a mission to maintain our 200-year old property, promote environmental and cultural education, and support Newfoundland's next generation of farmers. When you rent our spaces, not only do you get to take in all that this beautiful place has to offer: your generous support also allows us to continue providing public and educational programming, and support local agriculture. Our Spaces

Spaces can be rented individually, or as part of a package.

A quaint historic building containing information about the O’Brien Family and a number of artifacts. The cottage has been made to feel as lived-in as possible, and the kitchen area is fully functional. The first floor is available for rental, while the second is used for office spaces.

Thimble Cottage

The Kitchen Barn hosts our food-related programming including workshops on food preservation, homesteading practices, and self-sufficiency. On top of serving as a programming space, The Kitchen Barn is available to rent for private functions. The catering kitchen allows us to host groups of up to 100 people.

Kitchen Barn

The visitor centre currently serves as a museum area, and is available for rental. The included television makes it an excellent space for conferences or meetings.
